Welcome to our new Chair of the Board of Trustees

Veen Rama Veen joined The Kent Autistic Trust in April 2018 as Chair. Veen takes over from Phil White, who is stepping down from the post of Chair after some 12 years, although he will be remaining on the Board of Trustees.


Veen is an experienced trustee/director with more than 8 years involvement in charity governance and fifteen years in school governance at all levels. He graduated with a Masters degree in business administration (MBA) and has worked in the civil service at a senior level for a number of years. He is a local Justice of the Peace since 2001. He trained as a restorative justice practitioner, a neighbourhood mediator and qualified as a project and programme manager. He is also the managing director of a freehold and property service management company.
